AWANA is our weekly children’s club ministry, helping kids know, love, and serve Jesus through Scripture memory, Bible teaching, games, and meaningful relationships.

About the Program

Shaping Lasting Faith

AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed — 2 Timothy 2:15) is a global child discipleship organization serving more than 5 million kids in 68,000 churches across 135 countries. The program is built around three convictions: that kids need caring adult relationships, engagement with Scripture, and a community where they belong.

Research shows that kids who attend AWANA Clubs study and read the Bible 46% more often than their peers. The goal is simple: children who follow Jesus faithfully — for life.

How a Club Night Works

Every AWANA meeting follows a proven three-part structure:

Large Group

Bible teaching, worship, and awards where kids hear the Gospel and Biblical truth together.

Small Group

Consistent leaders discuss Bible lessons, work through memory verses, and pray together.

Game Time

Team-building games that are fun, high-energy, and create space for real relationships.

Clubs for Every Age

AWANA offers age-specific clubs from toddlers through high school, each with curriculum and activities matched to where kids are developmentally and spiritually. Contact us to find out which clubs we currently run at Cedonia.

Cubbies

Ages 3–5 · PreK–K

Foundation-building through simple Bible truths, memory verses, and age-appropriate activities.

Sparks

Grades K–2 · Ages 5–7

Hands-on learning through Bible stories, handbook activities, and team games that spark curiosity about God’s Word.

Truth & Training

Grades 3–6 · Ages 8–12

In-depth Bible study and Scripture memorization to help kids build a firm foundation of Biblical truth.

Bring Your Kids

Schedule: AWANA runs September through May (following the Hunters School Schedule) every Monday, 5:45 PM – 7:30 PM.

AWANA runs because of volunteers who show up week after week to invest in children. No special credentials required — just a heart to serve kids.
